Sharing to the theme store

Congratulations on creating your custom BetterSEQTA+ theme! Now it's time to share your masterpiece with the community. This guide will walk you through the process of submitting your theme for inclusion in the BetterSEQTA+ theme store.

Preparing Your Theme

Before submission, ensure your theme is:

  1. Complete and functioning as intended

  2. Free of any offensive or inappropriate content

  3. It will need to look decent or serve a purpose to be approved

Export Your Theme File

  1. Go to the BetterSEQTA+ settings

  2. Navigate to the "Themes" tab

  3. Find your custom theme in the list

  4. Click the share icon next to your theme

  5. Save the exported theme file to your computer

Join the BetterSEQTA+ Community

If you haven't already, you can join the official SEQTA Extensions Community Discord server: https://discord.gg/YzmbnCDkat

This is where you'll submit your theme and interact with other theme creators and users.

Submit Your Theme

  1. In the Discord server, navigate to the #theme-submissions channel

  2. Use the /submit-theme command

  3. Attach the theme file you exported earlier

What Happens Next

After submission:

  1. Your theme file will be automatically processed

  2. A pull request will be created in the BetterSEQTA Themes GitHub repository: https://github.com/BetterSEQTA/BetterSEQTA-Themes

  3. The BetterSEQTA+ team will review your submission

  4. If approved, your theme will be added to the official theme store

  5. You'll (hopefully) receive a notification in Discord about the status of your submission

Guidelines for Approval

To increase the chances of your theme being approved:

  • Ensure it's visually appealing and enhances the SEQTA Learn experience

  • Test for any bugs or display issues

  • Provide a clear and concise description of your theme

  • Be open to feedback and willing to make adjustments if requested

Updating Your Theme

If you want to make changes to your theme after submission:

  1. Update your theme in the BetterSEQTA+ theme creator

  2. Export the updated version

  3. Submit it again using the same process

  4. Mention in your submission that it's an update to an existing theme
